Science Open House - Impressions Of A 12 Year Old

October 9, 2017

The Science Open House was held in St. Mary's School on the 25th and 26th of September, 2017. In the auditorium the junior school and the middle school performed many experiments. They showcased an experiment of a substance which turns solid when it's punched and liquid when it's touched slowly. The visitors also came to know that ice cream contains washing powder. One of the experiments said that electricity is generated when a wheel connected to a motor is rotated. Other experiments were interesting as well.

In the biology lab, a goat's internal organs and the head were showcased. The Visitors reported that it was scary and interesting (it was disgusting a well). In the physics lab, students were fooling young visitors saying that it was magic when a coin which was outside a bottle appeared to be in it. Actually, it  was magnetism. Some visitors even figured it out. There were many other experiments as well. In the chemistry lab, there were many experiments to show acidic and basic changes. There was a cloud in a bottle and invisible ink. There were many other experiments too which were mind blowing for the visitors. The science open was truly spectacular for everyone, especially when young minds performed these activities.
